Walnut kernels: halves, quarters and eights, diced, mix

Walnut is a plant grown mainly in south-eastern Europe, among others, in Poland, Ukraine, Bulgaria and Romania, as well as in the United States. Walnut kernels contain significant amounts of nutrients such as proteins, vitamins E, C, B, K and P. Moreover, they are a rich source of phosphorus, magnesium, potassium, and iron. They not only support the functioning of the cardiovascular health but also help in the treatment of diabetes, and are used in cancer prevention treatment.

Almond natural

Almond is the seed of the fruit of almond tree (Prunus delcis) - plant originated from the Middle East regions, but now cultivated mainly in Spain and the United States. Almonds are perfect as a healthy snack or as an addition to any sorts of cakes. They are rich in magnesium, potassium, calcium and phosphorus. Of all nuts, almonds have the highest level of vitamins such as B2 and E as well as fibre.

Dessicated coconut

Desiccated coconut is a coconut pulp that has been grated and then dried. In Poland, it is mostly used for confectionery products, however in the oriental cuisine it is the main ingredient of many dishes. Coconut palms grow mainly in Asia and South America.

Desiccated coconut contains many trace elements indispensable for a healthy diet. Due to the large amounts of protein, dietary fibre and natural vegetable fats, it is crucial to include  them as a part of healthy and balanced diet.

Brazil nuts

Brazil nuts are edible seeds from Brazil nut tree which grows in Amazon Rainforest. Fresh, Brazil nuts can be eaten on its own or can be used as an addition to fruit salads or cakes.

Brazil nut is a rich source of selenium (approx. 160% of daily demand), it increases body resistance, and it can also reduce the risk of some forms of cancer.

Roasted and salted Pistachios

Pistachio nuts are the seeds of pistachio tree, plant which grows mainly in the northern hemisphere, in warm or temperate climate zone. The major producers of pistachios are the United States and Iran.

Pistachio nuts are characterised by high content of lutein and zeaxanthin, which support the condition of the eye and reduce the risk of Age-related Macular Degeneration. In addition, compared to other nuts, pistachio nuts are the biggest source of potassium which lowers blood pressure. Thanks to their taste, they are an ideal  ingredient for desserts and ice-cream or can be eaten just as a snack – simply out of hand.

Cashew nuts

Cashew nut is the fruit of the cashew tree. It has a light cream colour and shape of the moon, like a kidney. They have a slightly sweetish taste and subtle aroma. The species is originally native to the tropical regions of South America and India, Vietnam and Central Africa.

Fatty acids contained in cashew nuts guarantee the good condition of skin and delay the process of aging. They are source of protein. According to recent studies, eating cashew nuts can help to prevent Type II diabetes.
